Workplace Transport Safely
Background
The Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 places responsibilities on employers to ensure, ‘so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all his employees'. Section 3 of the Act places a similar responsibility on employers concerning persons not in his employment who may be affected. Further regulations extend the Act to other activities, such as the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations and the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations. The objective of this course is to examine in some detail the measures required to comply with the legislation.
